Mechanical servicing and tyres aren’t just what Carrum Downs Car and Tyre Centre do, they’re what they live for on the Mornington Peninsula.

From the age of 10, owner Nathaniel Tsotsos has pulled cars and motorbikes apart and put them back together. Mechanically curious, he spent his work experience in workshops and worked part time after school fixing family and friends’ cars.

When he weighed up his post school options—mechanics, carpentry, joinery, building—the auto world left the others standing in a cloud of smoke.

Cars on their minds and oil in their veins

Apprenticed to a Frankston auto workshop, he quickly learned to spin the spanners. And trained in every aspect of automotive servicing and repair, he accelerated his learning through night and weekend work. Within six years, he was ready to go it alone, launching CDCTC in 2006.

Today, Nathaniel describes his professional team at CDCTC as mechanical experts with cars on their minds and oil in their veins.
